Introduction
Wireless charging is becoming more and more popular, and ZETAIL has also unboxed several Qi wireless chargers with different highlights. Some are foldable and portable, some support multi-in-one charging, but none can provide more than 15W of charging power. Today, I'm unboxing the ZENO wireless charger from the Taiwanese tech accessory brand HIPPORIZZ. It not only incorporates the above highlights—being foldable and able to charge iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch simultaneously—but also features the latest Qi2 25W official certification, supporting 25W wireless charging! How fast is its actual charging speed? Is it easy to use? Keep reading to find out!

Unboxing, Appearance, and Design

The HIPPORIZZ ZENO features a discreet and simple aesthetic, with an all-white minimalist design and plastic construction, devoid of any decorative elements. The plastic feel is indeed a bit pronounced upon handling, clearly reflecting HIPPORIZZ's design philosophy of prioritizing practicality and user experience. One benefit of this simple design is weight reduction; the ZENO weighs 135 grams, which is relatively light for a 3-in-1 wireless charger. This helps minimize extra weight when carrying it out, enhancing its portability.
▲ With the velvet storage pouch, you can easily put ZENO inside without worrying about scratches or bumps when carrying it out, which is very thoughtful. The storage pouch also features the HIPPORIZZ logo.
▲ The bottom features silicone anti-slip pads on all four corners to prevent it from sliding around on the table, and they work quite well.
To further enhance portability, ZENO also features a foldable design; when folded, it is only 2.5 cm thick, making it easy to slip into a bag, and it can still charge devices in this state. Once ZENO is opened, the hidden headphone and Apple Watch charging areas become accessible. ZENO's folding mechanism has a strong damping sensation, allowing it to stay suspended at almost any angle. However, since there is no clear tactile feedback when fully opened, avoid applying too much force when opening it to prevent exceeding its intended range of motion.

Features, Charging Test, and Practical User Experience
The biggest highlight of the HIPPORIZZ Hippo Gravity ZENO is its support for the Qi2 25W wireless charging protocol, commonly known as Qi2.2, and its certification from the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). This means it offers more precise magnetic alignment for charging and can achieve a maximum charging power of 25W, which is significantly higher than the previous 15W, effectively boosting charging efficiency.

The increase in wireless charging power means you need a higher power input. HIPPORIZZ Hippo Gravity recommends using a charger of 45W or more. Additionally, the phone itself must support Qi2 25W to fully utilize ZENO's capabilities. Currently, only a few mainstream flagship phones support this, such as Apple's iPhone 16 series and later models (excluding iPhone 16e and 17e), Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. However, you can still use ZENO to charge phones that support older Qi wireless charging, though the maximum power will be 7.5W to 15W.

Under ideal conditions, HIPPORIZZ Hippo Gravity states that ZENO can charge a phone to 50% in just 30 minutes, which is comparable to the speed of a PD 18W wired fast charger. This shows that thanks to improvements in both charging and heat dissipation efficiency, Qi wireless charging is no longer just for convenience but can also meet the demands of fast charging.

Presumably due to improved charging and heat dissipation efficiency, my tests show that even if a phone doesn't support the Qi2 25W protocol, charging with ZENO is faster than with other wireless chargers. I charged a phone in low power mode and Do Not Disturb mode continuously for 30 minutes, starting from 20%. The Apple original MagSafe charger reached 46%; another brand's Qi2 15W magnetic wireless charger with active cooling also reached 46%; however, ZENO charged to 56%, demonstrating significantly higher charging efficiency. This suggests that even older phones that can't reach 25W fast charging can still experience some improvement.

Besides Qi2 25W, ZENO's other highlight is its 3-in-1 charging capability. It can simultaneously charge an iPhone (or other Qi-enabled phones), AirPods (or other Qi-enabled Bluetooth earphones), and an Apple Watch, and the charging speed and power do not affect each other, which is crucial. Combining 3-in-1 charging with its foldable design means that for travel or business trips, you only need to bring ZENO, one cable, and one charger to meet the charging needs of most of your devices, directly eliminating the hassle of carrying multiple charging cables. It's incredibly convenient.

Safety is always a key consideration when choosing charging products, especially with wireless charging reaching 25W, which will inevitably generate more heat. To address this, in addition to passing basic BSMI and NCC certifications, HIPPORIZZ has designed multiple protection mechanisms to ensure ZENO's charging safety. These include overheat protection, overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, and short-circuit protection, which promptly cut off power when abnormal charging conditions are detected. Furthermore, ZENO also features foreign object detection, preventing it from attempting to charge when non-charging items are placed on the pad.
Conclusion and Purchase Advice
While phone brands from mainland China have already introduced ultra-high-power wireless charging, those rely on proprietary protocols. The advent of the more universal Qi2 25W seems to signal that both charging speed and the convenience of wireless charging can increasingly be achieved simultaneously, without having to choose one over the other. The HIPPORIZZ ZENO, which supports the Qi2 25W wireless charging protocol, also boasts 3-in-1 charging capability, a slim body, and a foldable design, making it ideal for on-the-go use.
