However, when choosing an iPhone 16 screen protector this year, special attention is needed because the iPhone 16's screen has been narrowed. Therefore, if you opt for a previously developed screen protector, you might encounter the issue of the protector's black borders being larger than the phone itself. Whether you've just bought a new iPhone 16 or have been using one for a while, there will inevitably be small dust particles on the screen. Therefore, a crucial step before applying the screen protector is to wipe the phone's screen surface with an alcohol wipe.
After wiping with the alcohol pad, use the cleaning cloth to wipe away any alcohol from the phone's surface. I make sure to clean the surface thoroughly, paying special attention to the edges, especially around the earpiece at the top.
After cleaning with the cloth, use the dust removal sticker to remove any remaining dust from the screen surface. This step is very important; if the screen is not thoroughly free of dust, air bubbles will form when the screen protector is applied, making the removal process very troublesome. The way I use the dust removal sticker is to pinch both sides of the sticker and repeatedly dab the center onto the screen surface, as shown in the image above.
Next comes the most critical step: removing the release film from the screen protector's adhesive side, aligning it with the phone, and carefully placing it onto the screen. I usually need a few attempts to get the alignment right, but thankfully, the Hipporizz screen protector uses an auto-expelling adhesive, which helps remove most air bubbles once the protector is in place.
Once the position is precisely aligned, remove the plastic film from the top of the screen protector. If you see any bubbles on the surface of the screen protector after removal, use the cleaning cloth to push them out along the edges of the phone. After this, you'll have a perfectly applied screen protector. Based on my long-term experience, this screen protector offers excellent oleophobic and hydrophobic properties. The screen touch response is very sensitive and smooth, and the glass is incredibly clear and transparent, with facial recognition completely unaffected.
